About 40 Acres Soul Kitchen


Founded and operated by Quiana Meeks aka "Chef Q", 40 Acres Soul Kitchen offers a hip and diverse option for catering and personal chef services. 40 Acres Soul Kitchen provides a creative and cost effective solution for casual and upscale celebrations. Our menu offers a delicious fusion of Southern and Cajun inspired delicacies and features mouthwatering dishes like Gumbo, Wings, Pasta as well as a variety of other entrees, sides, appetizers and specialties dishes.

40 Acres Soul Kitchen operates from 1505 Kitchen Space located in San Jose, CA and extends its services throughout the South Bay Area and surrounding communities. 40 Acres Soul Kitchen is not your average caterer. We strive to bring back the love and enjoyment of dining by providing the most unique tastes, services and presentations.


Expressions from the Owner & Chef


As Owner and Chef, I am committed to continuing my family's legacy by preparing some of the most savory and well presented dishes imaginable. Recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation have been transformed into my very own restaurant quality recreations. My menu features Southern inspired comfort foods traditionally referred to as "Soul Food" and feature some of my favorite specialties like Gumbo, Cajun Pasta Alfredo, Louisiana Hot Wings, Red Beans n' Rice and a host of other entrees, sides, appetizers and platters. Pull up to the pop-up and have a taste from my exclusive menu available on select weekends by pre-order.

PERSONAL CHEF SERVICES: This service gives my clients the option of having restaurant quality dishes delivered or picked up to be enjoyed at home. I will be happy to customize recipes to meet the needs of my increasingly diverse clientele by offering pork-free and vegan/ vegetarian meal options upon request. Additionally, clients with food restrictions, food allergies or sensitive palettes are welcomed to ask for substitions and exclusions if needed. My goal is to satisfy the needs of my clients and provide the best service possible.


CATERING: 40 Aces Soul Kitchen offers the most diverse and cost-effective catering menus and services. Whether casual or formal, large or small, catering and event services can be customized to include chafing dishes, table linens, decor and service staff as needed. Menu offerings are based on seasonality and availability of quality goods and therefore, menu offerings are often rotated regularly.

Serving my community brings me unmeasurable joy. My hope and prayer is that the joy and love I have put into my business will be experienced and appreciated by your mind, body and soul.

PERSONAL CHEF SERVICES

Chef Q's  personal chef services gives clients the option of having restaurant quality dishes prepared to order. Home-style dishes are made from scratch and are derived from the freshest meats, produce, herbs and spices available. Meals are available for delivery or pick-up by appointment only. 

CATERING 

40 Aces Soul Kitchen offers the most diverse and cost-effective catering menus and services that range from casual to formal and can be customized to include table linens, floral centerpieces and table props.

Self Served

A casual self-service is set up so that you and your family or guests serve themselves. The menu may include a protein, starch, vegetable, salad and bread. You have the option of customizing your menu by adding appetizers, additional sides, salads, desserts and beverages. Disposable plates, utensils, napkins and condiments can be provided if requested. 

Served Buffet

A served buffet is set up so that you and your family or guests are served at your table. The menu may include a protein, starch, vegetable, salad and bread. Clients may customize menus by adding appetizers, additional entrees, sides, salads, desserts and beverages. Service includes two servers, disposable plates, utensils, napkins and condiments when necessary.
